Thanks for the praise. Right from the start when my grandfather invented Carmex he had a no animal testing policy. As he put it, "Animal testing is often needless and cruel". When we were a very small company it was an informal policy because my dad and grandfather did all of the work. Now that we are a bit bigger we have a formal policy for no animal testing and request the same of our suppliers. I used to say humorously that we test Carmex on family members, not animals because my father, brother, grandfather or I would try every batch on our own lips. That said, I still use Carmex on my two dogs, Sophie and Violet when they have scrapes, dry noses, etc.
