Hi all,
we want to inform all CenceMe users that Facebook Platform is currently experiencing intermittent service interruptions that impact CenceMe (and many others). Specifically, CenceMe maps on the iPhone and the CenceMe widget on Facebook may fail to render and updates to buddy lists may be slow to occur. Facebook Platform Developer Operations and Support are "aware of the issue and currently working on a solution" (thread post #16).

Inappropriate?Would this affect why it shows im unable to be seen due to privacy set? (Even though privacey is set to allow anyone to view my location?)
I cant even view my location on my iphone...??? -

yes, the behavior you see is caused by the current Facebook issue. We are monitoring the Facebook forum waiting for the good news, i.e., that they fixed their intermittent service.
We'll keep you all posted.

Inappropriate?Thats odd.. because one of my iphones is working fine.. I set this service up with another and it doesnt work. (Even with the intermittent problems.) It says "Location cant be shown due to privacy settings." (Even on the phone with that account.)
But the other phone can be seen...
In other words, the probelm I am having is only on 1 phone, not both.
However, both names are visible on both phones as being members and searchable on the buddy screen of the iphone app. -
Inappropriate?We are experiencing the same problem here. We have two phones running CenceMe, next to each other. Sometimes the service works fine in one phone and not on the other and viceversa.
Have you experiencing a similar problem in the past days or it is just yesterday (when the Facebook issue started) and today?

Inappropriate?I just set the other phone up today. (Wife's phone) She can see me and where I'm at. I can see her on my main buddy page in the cenceme app on the phone, but I can't get a location on her do to the settings... She can't even see her own location on her phone or the facebook app. Says, "Problem most likely due to privacy settings." Both phones and facebook accounts are set up the same, allow friends of friends in all networks as well as her location sensor being "on".
I have yet had a problem with my phone at all. I have been sitting here with both of them for over an hour trying to get it to work for her.
On the main page of the iphone app, it shows her activity and iconMe, but would let me view her on the map. Again, same thing on facebook. And on facebook, she can't see her location even logged into her own account.
I have deleted the iphone app and re-installed twice and that didnt help. i have also restared the phone numerous times as well as synched with iTunes. Nothing so far has worked. -
Inappropriate?Ok so to better nail down this problem it would be great if you could send us the following details to this email address (cenceme-help@cenceme.org) :
- the Facebook id for both the Facebook accounts you activated the phones. You can find the id on your Facebook page by looking at the URL which looks like this:
....facebook.com/profile.php?id=12345678

Inappropriate?Ok, it seems that Facebook cleared the issues they had, everything should be back to normal now with CenceMe localization.
