Hard to book platinum fares, rebates don't come through and no one responds to email/phone calls
I tried to book a platinum fare twice and only got ticketed the second time, no one responds to emails, phone calls or voicemails.
The promised rebates never show up, even after repeated assurances that they will show up.

Inappropriate?I also had numerous problems with cFares.
I've booked several platinum fares with them over the past year. Almost without exception I have to email and call multiple times to get rebates. I'm still waiting on a rebate from October.
Until they reform their system (currently it seems they deny all rebates when you first try to claim them), it is tough to recommend to friends, despite the low prices.
I’m frustrated

I have decided this system is a sccam and more trouble tah it's worth -
Inappropriate?I tried to buy a ticket but they sent me an email saying that I need a credit card from USA and it was not possible to buy with my credit card from Brazil.
So, I bought another ticket from another website.
After some days they said that my card was issued and took the money from it.
I tried to get my money back, but they just said the ticket was not refundable. Great answer. And I lost my money.
Totally rubbish.
In Cfares you think you are spending less, but it's the opposite.
I’m angry

We have been fooled into thinking this was a respectable business -
Inappropriate?Update 2/6: Victoria Wong (vwong@cfares.com) got back to me and applied the rebate for my account.
I don't know if the first ticket I purchased will still go through and have asked her to let me know. I'll keep everyone posted.

So they acknowledged you and you still don't know if you have a ticket? I am not impressed with them at all -
Inappropriate?Cfares is a site that offers platinum members discounted airfare. You join for a fee (I paid $1 for me, $1 for my wife at a promotional fee) and you have access to the discounted airfares. The purchase is actually made on the airline's website, so I paid regular retail prices for our tickets. Cfares promises a rebate -- in my case $30 per ticket. But none has shown up (the purchase date was 8/3/08) on my credit card nor is there any place on their site to see this history. I have emailed them several times (both the CEO, Mr. Jafri at vajidhjafri@cfares.com and their customer support address of support@cfares.com) but have received no response. Nor do they answer their phone. I have come to conclusion that this is a scam. I've contacted the better business bureau and IC3 about them.

Inappropriate?I have not had good experiences either with cfares. I bought a ticket last February with them but was unable to request the promised rebate online because the form never appeared (in retrospect I think you might need to have pop-ups enabled though their FAQs make no mention of this...). After repeated emails I finally got a response after 11 days and received my rebate shortly thereafter. Thinking this was just a fluke, I again bought a ticket a month ago. This time the rebate form did pop up and I filled it out...but surprise! No rebate ever posted. I emailed them again and we'll see what happens. I definitely think they try their best not to give back the rebates they promise.

Inappropriate?Well, after I complained to the Better Business Bureau, Cfares finally responded. But, they wanted me to pay another $49 per membership to receive the $30 rebate on each of the tickets I had bought! As if I would ever give them any more of my money after it was like pulling teeth to get them to respond in the first place. What a scam! Finally, the BBB closed the case after no resolution. My experience with Cfares was very dissatisfying and I would NEVER recommend them. HS

Inappropriate?By the way, the woman at Cfares who responded to me was Andrea Taubman. Not that she was helpful, but at least, Mel, here's a specific email address to try: ataubman@cfares.com.
