The paper no longer holds much appeal. Too many changes, too suddenly.
I do not like the paper anymore. I feel as if there is less new in it and my rates
have gone up $10 a billing cycle. I am seriously considering cancelling my subscription after many, many years. I want the TV guide back in the Sunday paper. I miss the Tribune magazine weekly.

Inappropriate? If you call 1.800.TRIBUNE we can check if we can get you a better rate. There are currently no plans to move the Guide back to Sunday, but we have very affordable rates on subscriptions that include the Saturday paper, often with no price increase. In lieu of the Magazine, we now have the Sunday section in the Sunday Chicago Tribune which provides a lot of the same material as the Magazine.

Inappropriate? When I first began reading the Chicago Tribune it billed itself as "The World's Greatest Newspaper", and to my young eyes, it was. Now it's banner brags about having the largest reporting staff in the midwest". Have you looked around at what else there is in the midwest? Its not much to brag about. But it does reflect well what the changes that have been made to the Tribune have done to this once great paper.
It is looking a lot more like my local Rockford Register Star, which brings up the question of why I still need two newspapers. The reason I continue to subscribe is that I was born a Chicagoan and I intend to be a Chicagoan for the rest of my life, regardless of where my current address might be. The Tribune has always been that necessary link to my hometown.
Sadly, now, when on the road, I cannot even get a full edition of the Tribune at the Newstand. The "commuter friendly" version is no substitute. Its almost as though the Tribune is trying to diminish its readership base. I find that very sad.
I’m sad

Being a long time subscriber,I wonder why I continue to receive the paper
when the paper fails completely to cover major news stories such as Acorn, Illinois senators vote to fund Acorn being 2 of 7 who did. And the paper keeps shrinking.
The cost has risen sharply and the service is a total bust. And I didn't receive a paper today.
