can i set the activity stream update frequency?

Would like the activity stream updated more frequently. I personally don't need it updated every second, but every couple of minutes would be nice. I was hoping to remove other applications like twhirl in favor of this one interface.

Great work on the site so far. Nice progression of features/layout.
