Clarify the concept of profiles?
Profile management is the most exciting part of Chimp, to me; it seems like the critical nugget of this service.
I'm not sure how OpenID works behind-the-scenes, w/r/t profiles, but it makes abstract sense that Chimp stores services and contacts in their own silos. These tabs make logical sense.
Profiles is where the magic happens. This is where you create and save unique combinations of user data, contacts, and services. It isn't on quite the same plane as services or contacts – it's one level up. Not the vcard-type data in the profiles area, but the act of associating them with tags.
I feel like there should be a Vcard or My Info tab where I input all the info I currently input in Profile. So that it would be a third silo of information, like contacts and services, ready to mix-and-match via a profile.
Then in the Profile (or Profiles) tab I would add/edit/delete whole profiles. Whole sets of my own contact info, contacts who have access, and services to which this profile pushes. Adding the ability to preview your "family" profile (as opposed to scanning the form for fields tagged "family") would go a long way towards helping folks mentally digest the idea of profiles.

We've implemented Personas. Essentially you can create as many personas as you like and then assign profile elements and content to each of them as you need. Then contacts with OpenIDs can log into your site as a guest and once you've assigned them to a persona they will see that information.
We'll be working over the next month to continue improving the experience of working with personas and would love any and all feedback. Thanks!
I’m happy

Inappropriate? Thanks for the feedback, Tim. We've been thinking about this quite a bit and we are going to work towards improving the ease of use and clarity of privacy filtering for upcoming releases. I can't promise that we'll go into full-blown personas but it's definitely on the table as one possibility.
I’m thankful

I can't promise that we'll go into full-blown personas
I think if you're promoting the service as a means to consolidate identity and use as your OpenID, offering personas (limited, default, full, family, business, etc.) is an essential part of that.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? Now I *can* promise that we're going into full-blown personas. We'll announce more once we make it available.
