We hear you loud and clear on ads on your public profile. I don't think anyone wants that.
So regarding the suggestion for a registration service to earn money: http://get.mp/ :-) You can register as many domains as you would like for commercial use right now at $20 per year. Domains registered through get.mp can be delegated to name servers and used for business purposes.

Inappropriate?They probably bought the whole .mp thing for a high price and are going to give it out for free... And I hope they don't introduce ads on our MPs, which would make me quit.
Suggestion: Offer a domain registration thing to earn money, partner up (affiliates), get sponsors and put ads on the MAIN chi.mp pages, not the separate profiles.
Also another good idea is to make a forum, then put ads into THAT.
I’m hoping that they won't put ads on our MPs.

Would you get ~20 GB storage and other typical website-thingys when registrating your domain at get.mp? I'm looking into registrating, but I'd like to know the technicalities behind etc. -
No, when you purchase a domain from get.mp you will get access to delegate the domain using name servers of your choosing, however we do not provide additional hosting services for paid domains at this time. -
Hi. So if I choose to buy the .mp domain and direct it to my own dns, what becomes of my chi.mp account? Thx. -

Inappropriate?personally, I'd be okay with ads, as long as they're of the adsense variety, and not overly intrusive into profile spaces. what would make me quit, though:
* pop-ups and -unders
* peel-away ads
* modal ads - floating layers which you need to close before you can read the text
* full page ads that appear after every five or so pages loaded
i think many people have developed a degree of ad-blindness when it comes to adsense, and they aren't as much of a visual distraction anymore. -
Inappropriate?Saipan DataCom Inc, the parent company of Chi.mp has a long term contract with Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI). Because of this Saipan DataCom Inc is the host, sponsor and register of the .mp TLD; and they have decided to let Chi.mp; a Social Media service take advantage of it.
-
Ya that's true..thanks to Northern Marianas Island and Chi.mp team because of them we able to use this amazing domain that stand for :My profile (.mp) -
Inappropriate?See this Wikipedia Entry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.mp
"Chi.mp's parent company, Saipan DataCom has a long term contract with the Northern Mariana Islands to run the unique service of Chi.mp, a social media aggravator and providing a free of cost .mp domain with the website that runs on Chi.mp software. Domains not in use may be purchased for $20; or control can be purchased within the dashboard (control panel) of a user's Chi.mp to unlock a domain for $20 (assuming the person is in control of that Chi.mp)"
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Hi Aniruddh,
Thank you very much for pointing the wikipedia page out to us. I have made a few minor changes to the text but all-in-all it looked great.
Thanks again!
