How to change assigned persona.

I am wondering how do you change an assigned persona. For example this guy I add to my public persona today can end up becoming a great colleague or friend in the next year. So will his persona always be stuck as Public?

I would love an option to change the personas instead of just seeing this when editing a contact:

Assigned to: Friends

With no choice to change it.
