I have more than one gmail account from which I can import contacts. At the moment if I put in one, then there seems to be no way for me to put in others

Inappropriate?This is correct. We are going to rework the interface to allow creating service subscriptions for the same service multiple times for a future release.

Inappropriate?You should be able to add multiple instances of any service subscription now.
