The best solution from the company

If you can, please provide specific sites that you tried the OpenID authentication against. We have known issues with some sites (such as Wordpress) but it helps us to catalog all of the sites that don't function with out OpenID provider.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I am getting it on army.twit.tv which is running a laconica open source twitter software.
-
Inappropriate?I'm getting this same problem on a WordPress instance that I just setup - justalil.com. Do you have a solution for this?
-
Inappropriate?Unfortunately I still haven't found a solution to this problem. Still working on it though.
-
Inappropriate? Is that problem solved for WordPress? I have the same issues with some other projects that all seem to use the JanRain OpenID PHP library - so maybe that's a clue of where the incompatibility is?
I’m hopeful
-
Unfortunately it is not yet. During this next release it is our intention to install a local copy of WordPress with the OpenID support and try to walk through the code to determine what the error is. It does seem to be isolated to the JanRain PHP library, and the fact that the error message tells us nothing has been a source of frustration. -
Thanks for the quick reply! Could it be that chi.mp is not returning a assoc_type in the OpenID message? At least that's what the library seem to be looking for just before throwing the error. -
I was just able to log into the admin section of blog.chi.mp with my OpenID, which is running WordPress. In the past this *did not* work, but now it does. Are you running into issues when logging into the wp-admin of your WordPress install or are you having trouble with the commenting? What version of WordPress are you using? -
I'm not using it with wp. ;) I'm using the latest version (2.1.2) of the OpenID library - http://www.openidenabled.com/php-openid/ - and that's where the problem is. Maybe WP switched to another library by now? -
Inappropriate?Server denied check_authentication
I have this problem with laconica microblogging installed on a shared server.
I’m frustrated
-
The problem appears to be isolated to the PHP OpenID library. dominik has provided a possible clue above and so we're going to try and get it fixed for the upcoming release. Sorry about this and thanks for your patience. -
I was just able to create an account and log into identi.ca with my chi.mp OpenID (anthony.mp). What version of laconica are you running? -
Inappropriate?Laconica version 0.7.3, but no joy. Also, I can't add chi.mp OpenID url to my Wordpress login on the same Site5 shared server, same error.
Maybe this is related to php configuration or permissions used in shared hosting environments. -
Inappropriate?I've got the same problem at wikispaces.com
-
Inappropriate?Have there been any developments on this problem in the last 2 months? I'm still having the same issue logging in with OpenID on Wordpress.
-
What version of Wordpress are you running? What version of the OpenID plugin for WP? We have it running fine on our Wordpress blog (http://blog.chi.mp/) but I believe there are still issues with the PHP OpenID library. -
I'm using Wordpress 2.8 with OpenID plugin version 3.2.2. I thought perhaps that my delegation from my blog wasn't correct, so I tried logging in with my MP domain directly but either way I get the same error as the original poster.
I installed XRDS-Simple v1.0 as well, but that didn't do anything. It looks like that plugin is for serving identities anyway, which isn't what I'm doing.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter, but I'm running the latest iNove theme. -
Inappropriate?Thank you for reporting this issue.
