How does Chumby wake me up?
I'm thinking of getting a Chumby but I can't figure one thing out. If I use it as an alarm clock, does my computer have to be on to feed content to the Chumby? My computer is usually asleep while I'm asleep. Does it need to be "awake" to wake me up, or does it not work like that at all?

Inappropriate?The Chumby doesn't connect through your computer at all—it uses your wireless internet connection, so it doesn't matter if your computer is on or off. It must be powered on in order for the alarm to work; however, it does include a "night mode" that produces very little visible light, so it shouldn't be a distraction if you're trying to sleep.
The content on your Chumby is delivered from the Chumby website—you can customize it using your account online.
