Palm versus Blackberry. How is the web speed; I have heard it is slow on the Blackberry? How is the navigation on the Blackberry Pearl? How varied, available and good are the free applications found on the web for these two OS? How many times does your phone freeze up? How easy is it to use? How clear is the phone reception and sound? How well do you like yours? Which model do you have?
These are songs or tones that people hear when they call you, before you've picked up. Normally they just hear the ringing tone, but if you've set up Answer Tones they will hear what ever song or sound clip you've chosen. From the cingular FAQ: "Answer Tones let you replace the standard ringing sound that a caller normally hears while they wait for you to answer your phone. Answer Tones may be an audio clip of a popular song, celebrity voice, joke or quote. There are emotional categories and many genres to choose from."
Most of the free stuff I get from off the phone deck, or the cingular mobile site are only demos. Where can I get full games for free? I even pay money if they were games from indie game makers.
I actually found a link in the footer to "Other Cingular Sites" which took me to a page that listed links to other shopping sites, to prepaid account management, to features & services, features & services for former AT&T Wireless customers, to "about" pages and to promotional pages. But no link to their customer forum. Hey, Cingular, what are you afraid of?
So I got my new phone and didn't know how to activate it. Also, it was telling me my SIM card was rejected. I called the Cingular CS number and a very nice person answered but wasn't sure what to do. He transfered me to another department where I had to sit on hold for a long time. Turned out it was an internal department for Cingular vendors. So I got transferred again. That person still didn't know what to do but did have a good guess as to which department I was actually supposed to talk to. She stayed with me until she had actually spoken to someone in that department (Port Activation) and was sure that I would be helped. When I finally made it to the 4th CS rep, they knew what to do and it took them about two minutes to get my phone up and running. The entire call took 45 minutes!! What I wonder is why every CS rep doesn't know what to do for someone who needs to activate their new phone?? Seems like it would be a pretty common issue. Or why the instructions for calling the correct department didn't come with my phone? Either solution would have saved Cingular a LOT of money in CS time.
I got a new Cingular account and a new phone. It came with an instruction manual for setting up a bunch of stuff in the phone, but no instructions on how to just activate the phone. What am I supposed to do?
It seems like there are hundreds of ways to call Cingular, and it's often hard to figure out which phone number is best. Can we list all known phone numbers for Cingular?
It would be especially cool to get the unlisted ones, like the second tier customer support and executive offices in case things go terribly wrong with the regular methods.
