Audio is not being captured
I just purchased Version 1.1.1 and I am having issues recording audio. I'm not running iSight or Skype or any other application that relies on my iSight camera. Just be sure it's not an issue with the mic, I opened up iChat, made some noise and the level meter seems to act accordingly. I have also double-checked my prefs to see that the option to capture audio is indeed checked.
Any ideas, and more importantly, solutions?

Inappropriate?Do you have any audio extensions installed, like SoundFlower?
Sometimes these extensions are installed by other programs - if you look in the Audio System Preferences, in the Input and Output tabs, do you see any additional devices, apart from your Internal Microphone/Line In/Speakers listed?
Is the audio being captured but not exported or is it not being captured at all. To tell, go into Library > Application Support > Silverback and then one of your recorded sessions, open up the .mov file and see if the video has audio. -
Inappropriate?Hi Jared,
I was wondering if you managed to solve the issues you were experiencing or if you are still having problems? -
Inappropriate? No more problems. Everything is fixed. It was the way my system prefs were set up (line-in mic, as opposed to the internal). Originally, I assumed it was the application because the mic worked fine in iChat. What I didn't notice was that iChat allows you to override your system prefs while Silverback does not.
Thanks. Silverback has been a great resource for testing designs over here!

Inappropriate?Glad to hear you solved your problem. We are thinking about introducing the ability to manage which audio sources (system, mic, line-in etc.) are recorded during sessions into a possible future release of Silverback.
