Exporting Causes Crash. Can I still get the Video?
I have a specific session that crashes the application every time I try to export it. The session is no longer than any of the other sessions that I've been able to export without issue. Is there any way for me to get to the raw video file? I need to provide it to my client.

Inappropriate?Hi Jay. Sorry you're having a problem exporting your session. You can get hold of the raw video file (the recording from the webcam) from your Silverback projects folder. The location of this is set in the General tab of your Silverback preferences. By default the location of the Projects folder will be in /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/Silverback/Projects.
In the Projects folder you will see a folder for each project you have set up (each named something like 9A2860A7-24AD-403A-BE5E-33153E14C58B.sbproject). Within each project folder you will see a folder for each session (named something like A0A5AA29-7C06-4911-9F4A-1C360756A094.sbsession). In the session folders the raw webcam recordings are QuickTime movies named VideoCapture.mov.
Regarding your crashes, please do ensure you send us the crash report so we can can get the problem resolved ASAP.

Inappropriate?I found the webcam video file, which is helpful. Are there any known workarounds for getting the file exported? I've tried exporting it 15+ times and every time it behaves the same way - it pauses for a moment, then crashes the application.
Thanks,
Jay
I’m hopeful.

Inappropriate?Hi Jay. Firstly, can you check you have the latest version of Silverback - it should be version 1.02 (check About Silverback). The exporting has been improved in this version.
If you are using the latest version and still having problems, please drop me your contact details at rich-at-clearleft.com and we'll try to arrange exporting the session for you. -
Inappropriate?Rich,
Thanks for the quick reply. I do have the latest version of Silverback. I'll shoot you my contact info and you can let me know what we do next.
Thanks,
Jay
