Good to have guides on usability testing to get started
It would be nice to have some guides on best practice usability testing. For example: good tasks to set, good questions to ask, and so on. I like the app, but would need some more pointers on the subject to get the best out of it and really get stuck in.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the suggestion, salted. Usability testing guides are something we may well add to the Silverback site in future.
In the meantime, a great guide to getting started on guerilla usability testing is Steve Krug's book Don't Make Me Think (the last three chapters in particular).

Inappropriate? Thanks Salted. We will be adding some demo videos to the website later on, in order to show people how to plan, set-up and run their tests. We'll also be running guerilla usability training courses in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled.
I’m expectant

Inappropriate?...and I've just finished writing an intro to usability testing which will be published in .net magazine in the near future.

Inappropriate? This is absolutely something that needs to be done. You WILL, without a doubt, gain more users this way. As someone who is just getting into freelancing (after doing in-house for a number of years), I see this tool as being something essential in my arsenal. But I also feel a little lost when approaching the concept since it's not something I've ever done before. I'm very glad to hear you're looking into doing this, though.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? This is a fantastic idea. You could even create little templates for each session for the tester to fill out about each user (of course these could be disabled/edited)
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Another book I find quite useful for learning a usability testing protocol, among other things, is Kuniavsky's "Observing The User Experience": http://www.amazon.com/Observing-User-...
Thoroughly enjoying your new product. It's already proven to be quite useful.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? This is one of the books I received during my post-academic course:
