It looks like exporting to external disk uses up space on the internal disk
I'm exporting to an external disk (where I have lots of space), but as the export is running I'm getting perilously close to using up all the disk on my, um, "internal" disk. Assuming Silverback is using my internal disk in some way... it'd be great if there was an option to say "use the external drive for temporary files" or something like that.

Thanks for this suggestion, it certainly would be helpful if you're running out of disk space. I've mentioned this to our developers to see if it's something we can implement in a future release.
