Place a video bookmark a few seconds in the past
When I am listening to users, I don't know if they are going to say something noteworthy. Therefore, when I click on the '+' on the remote it is after the fact. How about an option in Preferences where we could specify how many seconds, in the past, to alter bookmarks?
Scenario
Q. 'How do you feel about squirrel jam?"
User: "I would rather bugger myself backwards with a rusty fish fork than eat squirrel jam."
>> Ooh good quote me thinks..... (I now push the + button).... I wish that bookmark would be placed at the beginning of the users' comment.
So how would Silverback know when to place the bookmark, isn't that impossible? Of course, but I estimate that after about 5 seconds I know if what is being said is worthwhile, so if I could specify an amount of time to post-date bookmarks that we be good enough.
So Clearleft, what do you think?

It would seem that great minds think alike as we already have this feature in the roadmap. It's currently scheduled for version 1.2, although that may chance. It seems like a very simple thing to do on the surface so we wanted to include it much earlier. However because of the way we've got chapter markers working, it's actually going to be quite difficult to implement and would involve a major code rewrite. But it's definitely a good idea.
