Unable to add chapter markers
Hello - nothing happens when I press the plus button on my remote. No chapter markers are added. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. Rob.

Inappropriate?Hi Ferrai, just to make sure you're looking in the right place, when you open up the exported movie in iMovie you should see a dropdown in the control strip along the bottom with all the chapter markers in. If you're not getting that, let me know and we'll look into it.

Inappropriate?I can't seem to find the chapters either...
The remote works great to pause and end the session, but I still haven't seen the chapters in iMovie 8. I've even looked at the export in QuickTime Pro. The "Chapters" drop-down is showing "none" when viewing the "Movie Properties".
I'm clicking the "+" button on the remote to create a chapter. Am I using the wrong button on the remote?
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Hi Andy,
Thanks for your quick reply - I've imported the exported movie into iMovie '08 but I don't see a dropdown with chapter markers in. I've also checked with other apps that the plus button on my remote works.
I've included a screenshot of iMovie so let me know if I'm missing something.
Thanks,
Rob

Could you let me know what version of the OS you're using. Thanks
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Hi Andy, I'm on Leopard 10.5.5

Thx -
Inappropriate?Same here. Also running 10.5.5 Could you also post some detailed instructions on what should happen with chapter markers? I never saw any mention of having to use iMovie until this post.
Thanks -
Inappropriate? Thanks guys. We're on the case and hope to get this fixed in the next release.

Inappropriate?Do I need the latest version of iMovie just to display the chapter markers?
Maybe we could just have an option to spit out a text file with the position of each of the chapter markers, then I could annotate them and include that with the video file so that people could easily jump to interesting parts of the recording. That way the viewer doesn't have to have specific software - I could even upload the video to YouTube or something, stick the chapter annotations in the description field and then the viewer could see the user test using just their browser.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I found a free Mac program that might sort-of do what I want, it actually came with Skype Recorder but you can also download it free from here: http://www.download.com/Movie-Tools/3...
Opening the Quicktime file and clicking "export" creates a text file with marker positions and comments.
Only problem is that pressing the "+" button on my remote during a recording, exporting it from Silverback and opening it in this tool doesn't show any chapter markers. Maybe that's the same bug as you have here?
I’m mildly dissappointed

Inappropriate?Sorry Jon,
This is a known bug so we hope to push a fix soon.
