What size does video export at?
I believe I chose to record at Large (320 x 240) and export at Size 75%, but the resultant QT file show a resolution of 1080 x 675
Is that supposed to happen?

Inappropriate? When you say "I chose to record at Large (320 x 240)" you're presumably referring to the iSight video capture size in the Capture Preferences panel. This doesn't have any bearing on the final output resolution of the entire video (including screen capture) - it's a way for you to adjust the quality/size of the iSight recording, so that you can position it and size it in the Export panel to make sure it doesn't block out anything important on your recording.
Silverback records the whole screen, so if your screen resolution is set to 1440 x 900 and you output at 75% size then the exported video will correctly be 1080 x 675.
I’m hopeful that this makes sense!

Inappropriate?I should add that the export time will be extended if you choose to add compression. Outputting at 75% will take longer than outputting at 100%, but will result in a smaller file size.

Inappropriate? Now I get it. Sorry about being so dumb. When I see 'Output size' I just thought of overall screen size. Somehow conceptually I didn't differentiate between iSight and the Screen resolution. I thought of the whole process as one entity. It's childishly simple really.
For the record... What preferences, and Export setting, will yield the fastest render? I believe that most of us have lots of gigs of storage, but time is in short supply.
I’m cheeky

Inappropriate?Export at Best and 100% size for fastest output.
The new software update will make this clearer, as we know it's counter-intuitive in version 1.
