Virtual Host not working, no server errors?
Hi All,
Tried starting up my server this morning, and for some odd reason Apache wasn't starting. So I did a fresh install of MAMP 1.8.2 and ran the setup wizard. I have checked both httpd.conf files in 'private/etc/apache2/' & 'Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/' to make sure they have this line uncommented:
Include /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf
Both do, and I also checked that file to make sure it had the virtual host directives. When I go to view "http://example.site" I get no server errors, just 'Unable to Connect'. Seems I'm missing something? Where else can I check to make sure the settings are correct?

Inappropriate? Can you confirm that MAMP's Apache is up and running? (Silly question I know.) Or is it just not starting at all?
-
Inappropriate?MAMP is running, I can't access any of the virtual host I created with VHX.
I can view the 'start page' (http://localhost:8888/MAMP/?language=...) -
Inappropriate?Choose "Backup Server Settings" from the VHX File menu and email me the file it creates. I can test out your settings locally on my development machine. support@clickontyler.com

Inappropriate?Turns out MAMP was just running on the default 8080 port rather than on 80. All is working now.
