Yes. All you need to do is commission new nodes, configure them as you've configured your other TaskTrackers and DataNodes, then start the TaskTracker and DataNode daemons. The JobTracker and NameNode will recognize these new nodes and add them to the job and data pool.

This issue didn't rear it's head until I attempted to run the rebalancer after shutting down some nodes, then adding some nodes.
