Why is the Coca-Cola comany still using high fructose corn syrup in their soft drinks?
Given the fact that HFCS has been linked to obesity and cardiovascular disease. I think Coke should lead by example, and go back to using cane sugar.

Inappropriate?You know, a super-sized big gulp of Cane-sugared soda will F you up just as badly as HFCS.

Inappropriate?I definitely agree with you Scott. Learning to use moderation is an important step in everyone's life. The problem is that a lot of people don't realize the consequences until it's too late.
Consuming large quantities of sugar in any form will have a poor impact on your health, but it seems as though HFCS is causing more problems than that of pure cane sugar.

Inappropriate?Any time you put something that's been processed in your body, it's bad for you. Can sugar isn't much better, becasue it has been refined, too. But sugar is slightly better, and tastes better. I also agree with Scott, moderation in the key. I typicaly have about 3 sodas...a week.

Inappropriate?HFCS is cheaper than sugar. They save only a tiny fraction per bottle, but it adds up. Mexican coke uses real sugar. I've seen it sold at costco in the past, though I don't understand why they use real sugar there and fake sugar here. -
Inappropriate?I've recently realized that all or most Kellogg's cereals have High Fructose Corn Syrup in them too so I've stopped buying them. Which makes me sad because I love Frosted Mini Wheats and the "other" frosted mini wheats out here just aren't the same.

Inappropriate?It tastes better. You can have that Mexican drink. I feel sorry for all these people going organic and worried about the Earths natural processes of warming. It's all a waste of time and money. I'll be a centrarian just by not worrying about the small stuff. Life is good, enjoy,but do execise. It does the body good !!!!!!!!
