CSV Exports and Excel
Please use commas and always enclose fields in double quotes in CSV exports. This way, you can simply open the file in Excel as opposed to having to import a file (which is a manual process)

Excel uses different separator depending on locale, in Europe semicolon is more common because comma is reserved for a decimal separator. That's why in Banana Scrum the CSV separator is configurable in project settings.
Anyway we will make a change in the coming release so that comma will be a default rather than semicolon.

Inappropriate?Hi Adam, couldn't find the CSV separator item in a project's configuration settings. (Sprint 26).
Here in Brazil, although we also use comma as a decimal separator, there's no real commonly accepted usage pattern. I guess this is because of the lack of an official CSV format specification. -
Inappropriate? Please go to Admin > Projects then click on the name of your project. You should see the "Separator used for CSV exports" setting, you can change it by clicking on the current value.

Inappropriate? Thanks!!! I see it now! Now it opens directly in excel!
The only improvement left for me now is the "BOM" Unicode marker in the beginning of the exported file: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte-ord.... Currently, here's what I get with international chars:
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Good to hear this! When it comes to BOM I answered to this in a separate topic.
