Will bananascrum take into account holidays and weekends when builds a Ideal Burndown chart?
It would be easier to plan a work and chart would be more vivid.

It has been implemented in the latest release (release notes). Please let us know if it satisfies your needs. Note that in the future we plan to allow excluding also single days in a specified sprint (for national holidays and other such days).

Inappropriate? Some day it will, I think. The problem here is taking into account all the different holidays in all different countries of the world. We have it as thing to sort out in the future.
But I think this would be more handy in sprint planning than on the ideal burndown - after all it is ideal and it shows ideal situation when same effort happens every day over the sprint and that leads to 0 in the end - as it has to.
I’m happy to talk with users

Inappropriate?Without dealing with the holidays, is it supposed to take week-ends into account? It's not much use as it is right now.
-
Inappropriate? The only place where that has any influence is the ideal burndown line on the burndown chart. So yes, we will address that, but we don't agree it is useless with the line as it is now.

Inappropriate? We are working on adding this now. Check back in two weeks. :)

Inappropriate?A general and simple solution (although not the perfect one) but very effective is, during sprint planning phase, to define for the sprint - days of work.
A possible way is by opening a calendar for the sprint period and selecting work days or non work days (need a better name).
This is very flexible and useful since people may work at weekend or not during the week work days.
In that way the sprint burn down chart will include only the work days. -
Inappropriate?Interesting idea. We'll consider that for the future - now we'll address Sundays and Saturdays.
-
Inappropriate? There are some strange places in the world where people don't work on Friday and Saturday :-) . maybe you can just allow to choose which are the week days
-
Inappropriate?Yes, we are aware of the fact, however right now we are already adding taking Sat-Sun into account because we feel that will address 80% of the user population. In the future a better mechanism is indeed needed and your idea makes a lot of sense. We have to make it into a more general mechanism. Selecting days for each sprint wouldn't be practical - this should be a per-project default. This will definitely be on our backlog now - we'll let you know how things progress.

Inappropriate?Good news: we looked at ways to implement it so that your needs would be also covered. Expect this to be available really soon.
