Good idea. I have wanted an OpenLDAP server - at least a base that people could take and re-configure from a "hello LDAP world" state.

Could you respond here just how installed/configured you suggest the server would be at assembly time and how much would be left to be done after first boot.

Also - I need to see if there is a straightforward way to get the install of "slapd" to not want to have a dialogue - rather to take some defaults. Otherwise the assembly node gets hung with the install wanting to chat with a person.

(Our factory is very powerful but its a tight fit having a person inside our assembly nodes answering install questions!)
