Inappropriate?The default user "cftuser" is in the sudoers group.
That user can use sudo for many commands. And can in fact "sudo su" to act as root.
The password came in the email your received when you assembled your server, or you can go to your server's homepage in Elastic Server and click on the "Resend password and access information" button on the left side of the page under the "Download" number.

Inappropriate?Ahh...my fault. Sorry, I was in Elastic Server mode...the answer I gave was for that. I misread your question.
We don't allow SSH into the VPN-Cubed Free or Paid AMI instances as they are basically Appliances. Are you having a difficulty configuring the VPN-Cubed manager via its web user interface?
