Comcast sent a visible drug addict to my house in December 2007 to install my service. They finally fixed the install problems so that everything worked properly on January 3, 2009. Although I reported immediately that the dope fiend damaged my wall, they didn't provide information on what to do about it until December 11, 2008. Did I mention that my house is old and he broke a plaster wall that I'd just had rebuilt during my home renovation? And, that my father is the one that renovated the wall for me and was killed in a car accident on January 14, 2008, about 3 weeks after the dude messed it up??? Comcast is trash...and they know it.

I have been a comcast subscriber for 4 years now. I have never been treated with the blatant disrespect I have gotten at this time.

I have a Motorola Surfboard 5120 connected directly to the cable jack. According to countless onsite techs, my signal is excellent, but I have packet loss issues stable at 13-15%. I have even gone so far as to take the modem and the laptop out to the side of the pole my service comes from and screw directly onto the line coming to my house. Same result.

After 2 months of maint. techs checking lines, and replacing trunk cable and countless amplifiers, the tech thinks that it could be that the node itself is flaky and needs replacement.

Except he can't find one..... Excuse me?!?!? You're in the cable internet business and can't get the hardware needed to FIX THE BLOODY NETWORK?!?!?

I've got all kinds of incentives coming at me to go to DSL, so someone better dig up the answer pronto. I don't want to switch due to reduced upstream, but functional service is most important to me now.

The amount of effort I've expended (in vain) to get a CableCard for my TiVo is ridiculous. I've gone for years with just over-the-air TV because I hated dealing with Comcast so much, but I finally caved and figured I'd give them a shot. If I didn't love the TiVo, I'd have given up already.

I called the 800 number last Monday to see what it would take to get a CableCard. The guy told me all I had to do was pick it up at my local office. Drove across town, and of course the people at the office said that they couldn't give it to me, and an installer had to put it in. Set up an appointment for that Friday, the only time available: from 6am to 9am.

I take off from work, get up at 5:30 to wait for the cable guy. He calls while I'm away from the phone (for a second!) at 8:55 or so. Leaves an incomprehensible message saying something like, "I'm sorry I missed your call, please call 1-800-Comcast and reschedule." That, of course, makes no sense. I use the caller ID to call him back within two or three minutes, and he seems annoyed. Tells me the warehouse is all out of CableCards and there's nothing he can do.

So I call the 800 number later that morning and talk to a rep. She apologizes and puts me on hold. Picks up again and says she just got off the phone with the warehouse, and they do indeed have CableCards! Says the guy must just have not looked hard enough. No appointments left that day, so she makes me an appointment for Monday evening. I contact Comcast to verify the appointment on Sunday, and they say it's all ready to go.

Monday comes, and again I adjust my work schedule so I can wait for the cable guy. Surprise, surprise, he calls to tell me there are no CableCards. I ask him how this is possible, since the previous rep had called to verify, and he says that installers can just waltz in and grab one. No priority system, so it's just luck of the draw, and he doesn't know of any way to deal with it other than to keep making appointments.

There's no way I'm going to keep doing this. To make things worse, the 800 number won't let me through anymore, and the people who work on the live chat are clearly trained seals who click responses from a (really bad) script. Service was unacceptable, I had to wait three days to get a service person out to fix a problem that took less than 5 minutes. All three of my services went out on saturday morning around 10:00am. I called customer services for three days, had two appointments scheduled but no service person ever showed up. In the three day period all services were out, phone, cable & internet. Work from home over the weekend which I was unable to do (so I lost money). Have at least 10 call logged and spoke to two different tier 2 supervisors and still no help. Missed a dinner on saturday night and waited all day on sunday as was requested by customer services. I finally called the Corporate Office in Philadelphia on Monday and spoke to one of the assistants to the president who took all information and finally got someone to my house.

I pay my bills on time have been a customer for many years and have never complained about cost or service before. Customer Service is more than just taking information and scheduling an appointment. Its following up to make sure the problem has been fixed, and not making promises like you will hear back from me before the end of the day and never call back with any information good or bad.

I did receive a call this morning to make sure someone came out and fixed problem yesterday and that comcast would give me a credit. A little to late! I have heard that the verizon fios is not as good as comcast but after this I think I may need to make the switch.

I recently made a move from my previous apartment address to a condo where bulk cable service is provided. Upon moving there I did not want to cancel my cable outright so I requested information on any packages that were reasonable and fell into my budget for cable. I was told by one comcast associate that upgrading to digital starter would the only thing that fell into that realm. However, I also needed to have one line run into my condo and needed someone to come out here to do it. I inquired about the price and was told that it would be a $35.00 charge. When the first technician came here he showed me a bill which included a reconnection fee. Although he didn't do anything, I was compelled to call in to determine what this reconnect fee was for, since I already had bulk cable. I was told that the reconnect fee had to be on there just to be able to get the technician out to my condo but would not be assessed to my bill. Yesterday, after the technician left I call in again and was told the same thing. Today I called in to have find out about that fee and was told that I would be charged a $16.98 fee for upgrading my service, which I did by myself. After I informed her of this the associate informed me that this fee would be assessed to my account although she could not inform me of why. I aksed her why should I be charged a fee for something that wasn't done. She told me that's just how it is. I can't believe that Comcast treats customers like myself in such an unscrupulus manner.
Secondly, the channels that I was told that I would get with the regular box were incorrect and inconsistent all three times that I talked to someone about it leading me to believe that the associates do not understand the packages. Needless to say I feel insulted. I have recorded some of my phone calls and documented the names of some of the associates that I spoke to. I finally speak to someone who readjust the charges and decide to return the box.
So I return the box the I picked up and installed myself to the center where I picked it up. I aksed the attendant what was my fee. She first says 32, then 58 then 90 dollars... needless to say I am about to go nuts. She tells me to call the main office, her phone is sitting right there but she tells me to use my cell phone, but there is not signal in the office (ceaver way to kick me out). I finally speak to someone who appearantly didn't like my attitude and transferred me to tech support. AHH tech support the sweetest department. She finally got me to someone who after being very rude told me that that ajustments to my account will take 24 hr. I post this, so that everyone will know that Comcast has the worst customer service thatI have ever experienced. I mean AT&T is bad but Comcast is far worst. And to think that I was going to switch from DSL to cable....NOT Happening!! If they would do this to someone who had been with them for so long.. what our new customers

Made an appointment TWICE with COMCAST to fix our highspeed internet (down for 2 days). COMCAST says we CANCELLED twice, which we did NOT do! Very unsatisfying costumer service. We just need a tech to come by NOW. That's all.

I have missed several days of work (working from home or taking days off) only to have Comcast show up late or not at all. As I type this, I am waiting for my 5th service call about the same issue. I am at the end of my rope with this company. Here's a list of my problems with Comcast:

1. They never once have arrived on time for a service call. Once they didn't arrive until the following morning, but kept telling me to wait 30 more minutes, which resulted in me missing a dinner with my mother. No apology from anyone, the techs blame dispatch, dispatch blames the techs.
2. When they do arrive, they never have the tools, or Cablecards needed to complete the job. This has happened 3 times.
3. My HD picture gets worse and worse as the weeks go on. As I type this, History HD is unwatchable due to freezing and tiling.
4. Spoke with Joe/Comcast at extension 34330 who tells me I will not receive any credit or compensation until the issue is resolved (5 months and counting). This is after I have received several credits for my cable being unusable over the last few months (read: a lie). This means there is no incentive for Comcast to actually fix the problem, as they dont have to credit me until they do. Seems the opposite of a logical customer service policy. I'd expect to not pay when it's broken, and DO pay when it's fixed.
5. The botched the original installation. The cable enters my home through a hole drilled directly through the wall, with no faceplate, junction box, etc. Basically, it looks horrible, and will probably cost my money on my deposit (renting).
6. Once I had to ask the technician to leave, and his tone became very accusatory and rude, IN MY OWN HOME.
7. As I type this, my appointment time has expired. ANOTHER NO SHOW. Of the 6 appointments or so I have had, Comcast has arrived on time for none of them. Not one.

Why do I pay 130 bucks a month for this? Well, mostly because I LOVE my TiVo. As good as my TiVO is, I dont think I can justify giving this company money for a service I can't use. Its just not worth it to be this upset with a service ALL THE TIME. I have to say, unless this gets fixed, I'm going to begin a campaign of my discontent to consumerist.com, the executive customer service, yelp.com, dslreports.com, and anyone else who will listen. I'm tired of being treated to second class service, high prices, and disrespectful employees. Last chance, Comcast. Fix it, credit me, and let's move on. Otherwise, DirecTV, here I come.

"One moment please this channel should be available shortly" this is the message I have been getting on most of my channels since cable was "restored" after hurricane Ike. Now 3 technicians and 20 phone calls to customer service later ...still no fix!

I have been trying for more than four months now for Comcast to fix a problem with a bad cable. The cable that runs from a box on the outside into my unit (it's a condo) is bad and causes the signal to be severely degraded by the time it gets to me. This is the reason I cannot get cable to my TV upstairs. Since it's the only TV I have, I am currently paying for a service I don't get. My high-speed internet is also unreliable because of the weak signal.

I have had a very frustrating experience with Comcast customer service. I just cannot get them to send maintenance techs to fix the problem. Each time I schedule a service they don't show up. Customer service gives me different reasons for this every time. I even talked to a supervisor and she assured me that the techs would be there the next day but to my utter lack of surprise they weren't. At this point, I don't know what I can do to get through to Comcast. I don't know how it continues to remain in business with techs that don't do their job and customer service representatives who just don't care or are plain incompetent.

Comcast is my only cable option. No Fios availability and I have no place for a dish. Problem is, I can't actually get someone to come install it. They don't have any appointments. I take that back. They can come next Wednesday at noon. I'm sorry, but I'm a productive member of society, so I will be working. I'm not willing to waste my vacation time waiting for the cable guy. The soonest they could possibly come is one month away, but they aren't taking appointments for those dates yet. I have to call back and hope and pray that I can get one.

I offered what I thought was the perfect solution: just send me a box. Heck, I'm even willing to pick it up. I was told that this was not possible because the installer has to "do something" in my building. No he doesn't. I can hook up my television and get basic cable already. I can hook up my own cords thank you very much. It's really not that difficult. But no. Not an option.

Comcast, even though I know how crappy and awful your product is, I'm trying to buy it. Please, please, just let me.

So I guess I'll have to wait for Fios. It supposed be coming to my area in about a year and a half.

So, why do you guys "manage" traffic by taking the heaviest users and putting them in a lower priority queue? You do realize that some of us actually do work via vpn, right? I've been downloading an Ubuntu update for the last hour and a half, and my speed is being measured in b/s. Not even kb/s. So, good luck using fancast! For everyone who is looking to have a problem solved, don't bother. Just complain, complain, complain, and if you spend a lot of time and effort, they might give you some credit for the month. Go ahead, complain to Consumer Reports and Consumerist all you want. According to the American Consumer Satisfaction Index, in both 2004 and 2007, Comcast had the lowest level of customer satisfaction of any business or government entity - INCLUDING the IRS. Comcast knows that their customers aren't satisfied, and they don't care.

We have had Comcast triple play for 3 weeks now and it has been a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. The phone worked for about 2 days and hasn't worked since. The TV/DVR would work for 10 minutes then give a blank screen. They replaced the DVR and the cable box. It worked for about 1 day. But the phone stopped workeing all together. Sometimes internet works, most times it doesn't. It goes away for no reason and comes back when it wants.

Now IKE has killed everything and we can't even get a response as to when, or if we will ever get service. We need this service to do Internet courses at U Of H. The tuition is paid and they aren't going to refund any money, or give any leeway on getting coursework turned in, just because Comcast can't deliver!

Since starting up comcast I have been unable to always open up images. I have emailed customer service & I must be stupid because I still can't get it to work.
