Comcast Billing nightmare- I want out!!
I have had so much trouble with Comcast billing- I want out of the services but am afraid I will never get the correct billing and credits as well as the fact that we have no options for any other cable services in the area- Comcast has 1) damaged my home, I spent cumulated hours on the phone, verified damage, which installer did the damage to floors and wall, submitted estimates to insurance company- end result is I have never heard back from anyone and no repairs, no money just damaged floor and wall
2) I was promised 2 and 1/2 months credit for non-service due to their installers being unable to fix issue to bring service to TV for 2.5 months- only got 2 months credit they do NOT address this! 3) Most importantly, their billing is confusing and I believe deliberately unclear- I was on a 12 month promotion for $99.00 per month for 12 months- plus tax-from Aug 2008 until Aug 2009- despite the fact I never got the service until October 2008 (see above) I was still taken off the promo in August 2008- then our bill jumped almost $70.00 per month in August 2009- When I contacted Comcast to end service in Sept 2009 they offered me $109 per month plus tax (they said $118.51 per month) - I agreed- I paid the higher August bill of $161. and change in Sept. IN PERSON at their Manahawkin office and specifically asked the clerk what date I was paid to- she informed me I was paid in full until Sept 9th, 2009- then my new rate of $118.51 should have been in effect- I paid $120.00 for Sept 9th until Oct 9th 2009- but Comcast says I am in arrears for $277 as of November 8th 2009!?
I want my damaged floor and wall repaired or money to do so, my missing 1/2 month credit and the CORRECT billing- I should only owe the 118.51 for October 9th until November 9th- Can you help? Can anyone help? How do I file a complaint? When I went to pay my last bill in Manahawkin other customers said they have experienced same problems but give up and they never get resolved or only get resolved after hours and hours of arguing- isn't there any federal or state agency that regulates this company!!! change! There is no way since I specifically asked when I paid the bill- they break the cost down per service (phone, cable, internet) even though they sell it as a package making it impossible to understand or see what charges are- they sell you something then charge you for something else. I have twice requested a supervisor call my cell phone as above, but have not received any calls and the charges are still mounting. I am at my wits end with this company! I have over-billing issues, damages to my home unpaid and cumulative FIVE hours of cell phone charges while trying to resolve this issue with Comcast!
