Comcast lost all my emails in the Sentmail folder
Comcast lost all my emails in the Sentmail folder in my Comcast.net account. I reported this problem on July 30, 2008, and they told me they were going to fix it within 72 hours. It is August 2, 2008 today, nothing happened. I called them again just now, and they told me, without any apology, that they could not get the lost email back! I am in desperation - I have been looking for a job for 8 month and I am still looking now, but now all the mails I sent out looking for jobs are gone !!
I guess I have to take legal actions. If anyone has any idea on this legal issue, please advise. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for reporting this on July 30, but is it possible that it occured prior to this? The information is only available for 3 days and most likely was no longer available. There is no indication that this deletion was done by Comcast. Is it possible it happened with your program? Also is it possible that the password you were using was not very secure allowing others to gain access? It is not uncommon for a spammer to try to gain access to an email account, send spam and delete sent emails to cover their tracks. I would recommend using a very secured password that is difficult to guess or obtain, usually using a numbers, letter and other characters. You can email us your account info and we can try to find out more information, but it may be difficult due to the time. I am sorry for the trouble and I do want to wish you success in your job search.

Inappropriate?I had my default settings for sent messages using Webmail to NEVER delete. In the switchover to "Smartzone", Comcast unilaterally reset the default to delete after 30 days without any way I could have known. I discovered just two days ago I have lost hundreds of critical outgoing messages relating to occupational and legal matters. I notified Comcast by email and chat and supposedly these messages are going to magically reappear as they rollover the "14 million" customers to the new email platform. I was told to wait patiently, while every day it seems the likelihood of recovering of these messages from a backup grows dimmer.
I’m pretty pissed
