Closed captioning doesn't work when digital transport adapter is connected. How can it be fixed?

Inappropriate?On my tv, closed captions are scrambled and unintelligible with the recently added Comcast DTA box. It seems they have not solved the problem. These boxes are a pain in more ways than one.
