Pictures - blank rectangles with red X
Cannot view pictures. A relative has just opened a Comcast account. When she sends me E-mails containing images in the body, they only appear as blank rectangles with a small red X in the upper left-hand corner. Everyone else's pictures reach me just fine. Is there some setting she can change to let her pictures through?

Inappropriate? That is the email program you are using. Just right mouse click in one of those boxes and select download pictures. It is done as a safety measure to prevent viruses
Thanks,

Doesn't work. Never had this problem until "SMARTZONE". Images come in on my email under the "subject". Must click & then most of the time the image goes to "download"; then I have to click to open. Then click to close. Then click to clear download. Then, I believe it's another click to go back to email inbox. WAY TOO MANY CLICKS!!!!! -
Inappropriate? It's important to note that only images sent from that particular Comcast account have this problem. Right-clicking on the red Xs has no effect.

Inappropriate? It has to do with the way they are sending the mail, not the provider. Ask them to resend as Rich Text. They are sending as HTML

Inappropriate?I actually forgot it could be a yellow bar at the top of your email that says ok to download. Here is a blog post I found on the net regarding this topic
