Poor Image on the History Channel over Comcast
We subscribe to Comcast Cable TV in Connecticut. For several weeks, The History Channel, one of the premium channels we pay for, has, alone in the channel line-up, had a distorted, overly-bright picture. If there is a great deal of white area on the screen (as an image of a printed page on white paper) the white areas "bleed" so as to obscure the picture. This happens on all TV sets. It's extremely hard to report such problems to Comcast and get a solution.

Inappropriate?Hello R.S.K,
We will try to determine if there is a problem with the feed from the History Channel or a problem on our end. Can you please email us at We_Can_Help@cable.comcast.com with your contact information.
Thanks
Sherri C -
I have emailed to the address you gave and marked it "atten: Sherri C." Let me know at that e-mail address if you require further information from us. I could, for example, videotape the image, and send that to you, so you can see what I mean, and then tape adjacent channels, to show you the contrast. -
Inappropriate?I'm pleased to report a more-than-satisfactory outcome to this problem.
CustomerConnectSherri got in touch with me by e-mail, and carefully followed up this problem for me--and saw to it that it was corrected. I noted that the problem had been corrected by November 6th, which is only a few days after I reported it here.
Indeed, as I was certain was the case, there was a centralized problem: the technicians Sherri contacted reported "the white level was reduced a bit on the
analog modulator."
Besides fixing it, CustomerConnectSherri also arranged for a month's credit to be applied to our Comcast account, to make amends for the inconvenience.
I would describe this handling of my report as EXEMPLARY customer service, and it has quite changed my feeling about how Comcast handles reports from its customers.
I’m very reassured and pleased.
