Self install kits for existing customer?

I currently have internet and standard cable with Comcast. This morning I upgraded via live chat to Triple Play Preferred and installation was scheduled. I asked the CSR if I could self install, but he said I couldn't, that they need to be professionally installed. From the Comcast website, it appears that there are in fact self installation kits available for both Digital Cable and Digital Voice. I went on live chat again and spoke with another CSR that told me I could order the SIK's, but I had to call 1-800-Comcast to do so. After all my calls to that number and also to 1-877-870-4310 ending up in a busy signal, I'm here to see if I can get help.

My questions is, are there truly self install kits available for my area (94547 zip code/ 510 area code), and if so, who do I contact to order them?
