SRM-9002 Error! Comcast continues to say they need to send a tech for such a SIMPLE issue!?!?
SRM-9002 ... Damn this issue is a problem! I just paid my bill yesterday and I've been trying to order a movie On Demand. What's pissing me off is this SRM-9002 is supposedly an error message for a delinquent account which clearly the CSR at the call center told me my account doesn't have.
They keep trying to send a tech out but there windows don't coincide with mine. What can be done and do I receive any sort of credit? The CSR said no cause On Demand is a free service. BUT, correct me if I'm wrong, should someone havre BASIC cable, they'd need to pay more to get the On Demand channel, right!?!?

Inappropriate?An SRM-9002 error is definitely an account related issue. It's nothing that a field tech can fix (short of making calls himself to his own tech support, which is usually pretty effective). But this is something that can certainly be fixed over the phone, not on site.

Inappropriate?I'm a Comcast field tech, and it's annoying to get these kinds of trouble calls when I know it's something that's account related and could have been fixed without a truck roll.

Either case, it resolved itself last night I guess without no tech needed. Saved the headache for a tech to come out and do something that could be done from the call center.
