TiVo HD doesn't receive HBO or Showtime when using cable cards
I have used my TiVo HD with cable cards for the last two years without incident. However, several weeks ago Showtime stopped working; all I see is a gray screen with cable card information. Additionally, HBO stopped working this week (and has the same issue). I have tried calling Comcast several times, but am on hold for far too long and then have been told that the problem can't be fixed remotely. However, I see that several people have had the same issue and reported it here, so I'm hoping that the issue can be fixed.
I also know many people who have experienced the same problem; almost every single person (including myself) is about ready to cancel their Comcast service. At the very least, service credits should be issued to everyone experiencing this problem. Major service interruptions are bound to happen, but I hope that Comcast will do the right thing and fix the problem.

Inappropriate?Did you get this resolved? I have the same problem My HBO was working fine with digital box but recently I replaced it with 2 single channel cable cards for my Tivo HD and HBO stopped working, just a gray screen now. A comcast technician came by 2 days ago and replaced 2 single channel cards with one dual channel and HBO is still not working. He said everything looks good in terms of signal being sent to Tivo HD card so it must be the Tivo which makes little sense since all other channels are working. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Inappropriate?I haven't yet, but that's because I haven't been able to contact Comcast yet. A friend has had the problem fixed; all that is apparently needed is an M-card for your TiVo. One visit from the Comcast tech was all it took to fix the problem.

Inappropriate?Tech installed M card(multi/dual channel) but still no HBO. Very frustrating, Comcast is really quick about pointing finger to another vendor (Tivo)
