Want to track internet connection.

Is there a software package out there that can track when I loose my internet connection? I have lost my connection on several occasions (also loose phone service). Comcast doesn't believer me says connection is strong. I would like to find a tracking program that can ping the internet every few minutes to prove I am not crazy.
