When will digital-to-analog converter boxes be available?
Since Comcast has started moving analog channels in preparing for the 100% digital switch over in my market (Atlanta). I was just wondering when the company will start making available the little boxes that will convert the digital signal into an analog so that it can be viewed on an analog TV set?

Inappropriate? To view digital cable you need a digital cable box. That is true for any type of TV (unless you have a cable card which actually works with Comcast's digital cable). Digital cable boxes have been available since digital cable was first introduced (years ago).

Inappropriate?Thank you for your response. I am fully aware of what a cable box and a cable card are, I currently use both devices in my home. However the device I am referring to is a Digital Terminal Adapter (DTA) dongle that will decode a subset of digital cable channels to be displayed as analog channels on an analog device.
Basically the new "basic cable" after analog goes away. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the clarification. That makes more sense. Good luck getting one.
