Aperture hangs at end of long FlickrExport with Error 2, 25% of images missing
****** Configuration ***********
Aperture 2.1.2
FlickrExport 1.0.9
MacOS 10.5.6
MacPro 2GHZ 3GB RAM
Export parameters: IPTC Headline, image tags only, Create Lens tag, Add Flickr IDs and URLs, Add keyword, Public, Replace photos, Tag Filter "Travel*". All images are geotagged and have Headline IPTC tags set.
****** Symptom **************
After a successful test upload of 6 images from a folder, I began export of all 388 images to Flickr. After approx 4 hours FlickrExport showed export complete but with an error indicator with a filename of one photo that was not uploaded, saying "Error 2 in photos.upload.checktickets". The application was hung with BBOD at the error dialog.
The error dialog also stated only one photo was uploaded, but by looking at my Flickr photostream I see that 288 out of the 388 were uploaded successfully. Missing photos include the one that was flagged (it was not the first or last) but also 100 others randomly missing from throughout the stream, not just at the beginning or end.
The MacOS Console log shows no messages related to export progress or errors.
Is there an upper limit on the number of photos that FlickrExport can handle in one export operation?

Inappropriate?Hi Steve,
Firstly, I'm very sorry that you had a problem uploading your photos. The Flickr API isn't very descriptive when some uploads go wrong - the "Error 2 in photos.upload.checktickets" is Flickr's way of saying that something went wrong in saving or processing the image on the server, but FlickrExport can't tell you any more than that.
Of course, FlickrExport should not hang in this situation, and I'll look into that. -
Inappropriate?Hi Fraser,
Any word on this situation, we're having the same problem over here.
Thanks!
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Brian,
I can't do anything about Flickr returning error 2 on your uploads, but I think I have a fix for the hang ready to go in 3.0.2.
If you're interested in testing a prerelease build, send an email to info at connected flow dot com.

Inappropriate?OK, so the error 2 is on Flickr's end? I'll file a bug report on their end. (If I sniff the traffic, will I be able to get any more information regarding this error?)
I'll also be sending in an email to get a prerelease build.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? You won't see any more info on the wire than FlickrExport shows you, unfortunately.
