Can't connect to Flickr server
Not seeing any reports of this problem on your forum, so maybe it's just me, but for the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong! Here's the problem -
I've been using FlickrExport for a while - probably a year or so. All of a sudden, a couple of weeks ago, I got an error when I went to export photos to Flickr. the error says "Could not communicate with Flickr. FlickrExport was unable to log into Flickr because of the following error: FlickrExport could not connect to the Flickr server. Please check your networking, DNS and any proxy servers."
I waited a while, figuring it was an intermittent problem. Then I tried restarting iPhoto, but it didn't help. Flickr is up. My username and password haven't changed. I haven't changed any settings on iPhoto that I am aware of. I thought this might be a temporary FlickrExport issue, but since it's been a couple of weeks and nobody else is posting about it, there must be another explanation, I guess.
Can you help? If I can't get this working soon, I'll have to figure out another way to get my photos up to Flickr.

The company thinks this is not a problem.

Inappropriate?I figured out the problem. My fault - I had incorrect proxy settings in my system preferences. Even though my access to web browsing was unaffected, FlickrExport was. So, I guess this is just a heads up if anybody else sees this error to check your network settings, even if your other internet access seems unimpaired.
I’m relieved

Inappropriate?Thanks for the follow-up.
-
Inappropriate? So, what did you change on the proxy settings?
-
Inappropriate? They have to match whatever proxy settings you use for the rest of your internet access.
