Lens Model Exif data missing when exporting from Aperture
Why isn't the lens model added to flickr when exporting from Aperture? I see my other exif data, but not lens model. Lens Model meta tag is checked in Aperture.

Inappropriate?Have you edited these photos through any of Aperture's edit plugins? That process tends to lose certain elements of metadata, lens model amongst them.
There is some more information on this issue in this thread: http://getsatisfaction.com/connectedf... -
Inappropriate?I am not using any plugins. I had already read the link you posted and that doesn't describe the issue I am having. I can still see the lens details when I click on the metadata tab; however, when I choose to export the photo via flickrexport, the lens data doesn't get sent. If it was missing, I could understand why it didn't make it to flickr...but in this case, the data is there.

Inappropriate? Are any other metadata fields missing or is it just lens info?

Inappropriate?I think this may be an aperture export issue. I am missing a lot of metadata. I did a test where I exported with flickrexport and then exported the same photo to a file on my desktop and then uploaded it. The resulting metadata is pretty much the same and both are missing the following (even though they can be seen in the metadata tab).
Max Lens Aperture
Lens Model
Lens Maximum (mm)
Lens Minimum (mm)
Focal Length (not the 35mm one)
Guess I am stuck unless I switch to lightroom. -
Inappropriate?FlickrExport and Aperture's Version Export use the same presets, so exporting to a file with the same preset you use for FlickrExport will get you the exact same file. FlickrExport doesn't interfere with the file that Aperture creates.

Inappropriate? There seems to be a bug in Aperture where not all the EXIF data is included when exporting versions. The most notable ones are those you mentioned (i.e. lens information) but there are quite a large number left out.
Since FlickrExport uploads the exported version, this Aperture bug affects the files uploaded by FlickrExport (and would also affect any export plug-in that does not export Master images). Note that unless you make no changes at all to your images (including titles, captions, all metadata/keywords, crops, adjustments of any kind) then exporting Master images wouldn't be appropriate, so that wouldn't necessarily be a solution either.
For now, I think the best thing to do is report a bug to Apple asking them to fix the EXIF data in exported versions. Let them know which data is missing that you want resolved.
