Stuck at "Checking that the photo arrived..."
While exporting a batch of photos last night, the export process got stuck at "Checking that the photo arrived..." at about 11pm. At 6:30am it's still sitting there and I can't cancel the task or quit Aperture.
I found the following in Console.app:
7/8/08 11:02:51 PM Aperture[5521] FKPhotoUploadRequest processCheckTicketResponse logged the following error: Sorry, the Flickr API service is not currently available.
I just had to force-quit Aperture, which gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Aperture 2.1, OS X 10.5.4, FlickrExport 3.0.0b25 for Aperture.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem but Im using iPhoto 7.1.3, OS X 10.5.4, FlickrExport 3.0.0b25 for iPhoto. If someone is interested I have a hang log from the last time this problem occured.
I’m A bit frustrated.

Inappropriate? It was working fine for me yesterday morning, and so I think it's just a problem on Flickr's end. I'm getting the same error message though.
This app should have some sort of timeout mechanism to handle getting stuck on the "checking that the photo arrived" message, and then it should automatically retry.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Hi folks,
Flickr's API had a bit of a hiccup this morning. Obviously there's a bug in FlickrExport on this and I'll be sure to take a look at it once Friday's iPhone brouhaha is over.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I’m a bit overloaded.

Inappropriate?Hi folks. Is this still happening for you?
I’m digging through the post-iPhone backlog.

Haven't seen this in a while, but I also only saw it the one day that Flickr seemed to be having problems... -
Happened again tonight, and I've seen it at least once more in the past week (possibly due to the AirPort on my MacBook taking a nap).
Mon Feb 23 21:01:15 Beauregard Aperture[1729] <Warning>: FKPhotoUploadRequest processCheckTicketResponse logged the following error: Sorry, the Flickr API service is not currently available.
What really burns me is that I have to force-quit Aperture, now. -
Inappropriate?HI, I have this problem, but so far it is happening in specific circumstances. Got back from Glastonbury festival, dumped the photos into aperture , quickly screened out the rubbish, and uploaded to a set I called 'glastonbury' in flickr so I could share with family almost straight away.
I have since gone back and gone through my normal workflow, editing, tagging etc and when I try to export them all again to a new set 'glastonbury tagged' it hangs with the above symptons.

Inappropriate?Have had this problem for a few days now. I have to force quite Aperture whenever it happens, restart it and then try to export again. I haven't been able to upload a successful batch of photos without it stalling.
I’m a little annoyed.

Inappropriate?i have since uploaded a few sets successfully , it only happens to me when updating photos already uploaded to flickr
-
Inappropriate?Still getting this issue... I can't upload a successful batch into a new set without stalling. Any new info on this??

Inappropriate? This is happening for me today. If this is indeed a problem at Flickr's end I would expect FlickrExport to handle it gracefully, rather than forcing me to quit and lose all my entered metadata.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I'm not ignoring this issue. Reliability is my #1 goal for FlickrExport. A large upload session can be literally hundreds of API calls to Flickr and it's not always obvious what to do if one call fails out of many.

Inappropriate?Same problem here — I'm doing a lot of uploading lately and this problem happens all the time. Right now I'm uploading an album of 100 photos and after about every 10-12, it craps out with said error. Instead of being able to just walk away and have it upload, I have to constantly check where the upload failed and then continue from there. VERY frustrating...
