What's up with Changes?
I'm a Changes customer from pre-Connected Flow times. What are your plans for it? Is it getting developed further or is it for all intents and purposes finished? I love Changes, so I hope you'll continue to improve it (especially speed when working with large documents).

Inappropriate?Hi Jeremy,
Changes is absolutely not finished. There are still many areas that I want to work on. I don't have anything to announce right now, but it's by no means done.
Best,

Inappropriate?Hey Fraser,
Are you working on changes full-time or are there other people working on it? It would be great to have a little more transparency as to what's happening with the app.
I exchanged quite a few emails with Ian regarding bug fixes and enhancements and now I have no idea what the status is for any of those. If you can't tell us anything now, can you at least let us know when you think you will be able to release more information?
Thanks,
Jason

Inappropriate?Hi Jason,
Sorry you're frustrated! I'm not meaning to be secretive about Changes. Let me lay out where we are:
When I acquired Changes back in May, Ian had done a fair amount of work on various bug fixes for Changes. The state of the app was that all of this new work was on a branch that would form the basis for Changes 2.
At the same time, Changes 1.5 was in a maintenance branch. That's not to say that 1.5 is at the end of its development, just that there's work going on that won't ever be in a 1.5.something release of Changes.
Having acquired Changes, it's taken me some time to get up to speed on the app. Whilst very well written, Changes is really a quite broad and complex application with many tens of thousands of lines of code. The last thing I want to do is dive right in and start breaking things due to my lack of experience with the code base.
I also have a dump of all the bugs and feature requests from Ian's database, so none of that has been lost.
Changes is actively being worked on, alongside the other Connected Flow products. The demands on my time, and the needs of the other products for updates is a fine balancing act, I will admit.
I hope that brings a little more clarity to the situation? Rest assured that I have absolutely no intention of letting Changes quietly die.
I’m optimistic
