Great User Experience

Cookster has a great thing going and its designer deserves some serious praise. Its got that people oriented Web2.0 feel while maintaining a classy design that I don't think will go out of style any time soon. The splash page is bold and attention getting gets the two main topic of the site on the user's mind. The attention to detail is really nice as well. I think the main text in the search bar is a nice touch and gives a level of intuition to the overall search functionality of the site and lets the user know quite quickly how things are categorized. The type design is well done and overall information design is solid. Great work and keep it up. The site makes me want to go out and cook.
