Very annoyed with Mr. Plumber
I scheduled one of your plumbers to come out to my house regarding a dripping tub faucet in my master bath room. The plumber came in, looked at the faucet and said this looks bad. Your looking at a new moen cartridge which is $337.93 or a new t&s valve, which is $695.81. Those are the prices he quoted me. I think the gentlemen’s name was Rob. He told me he would get back to me on 7/20/09. It has been a week and I never heard from him. Got to be honest, I thought he was taking advantage of me because everywhere I read people were saying a dripping bathtub faucet is generally a worn out rubber washer and is not to expensive to fix. So I decided to get a second opinion. Anyways, so I called another plumber on 7/23, since I never heard back. They came out on Saturday, they pulled the sleeve out and showed me that it was a bad rubber washer and I would need to replace the sleeve. I asked him how much it is going to cost and he told me $40.
Keep in mind, your gentlemen did not take off the handle and look. If he did, he would have noticed it was a rubber washer that was worn out. I am disappointed that he took my $49 check and I got nothing in return, not even a phone call telling me how much it would cost. He did say he would get back to me the following business day and he never did.
I called Mr. Plumber first because you are heavily advertised on WSB 750. I
Thank you

Inappropriate?Mr. Plumber had proposed replacing the entire pressure balanced cartridge assembly in Mr. Redds leaky tub and shower valve. Anything less would amount to putting a "band-aid" on the problem, in our opinion. Mr. Plumber's goal is to offer the Customer a permaniate solution to their problem, not a temporary fix. All options that we presented to Mr. Redd were declined at the time of service.
Since he was not satisfied with our service, I am refunding Mr. Redd his $49.

Inappropriate?Hi Joe, thank you for the very quick response and for refunding me my $49.. However I would like to clear up a few things. At never at any point did I decline type of service. The gentleman told me that it could not be repaired today and he would have to order the part and he would call me and tell me if and when he could get it. He was here a total of 15 minutes. Like I said above, I never heard back from him.
If you would like to talk about this over the phone I would be more than happy to explain it in greater detail.
Thank you,
Adam -
