I'm just looking for Pete's sake!

When I'm just checking templates out, it automatically creates and event even without me entering any kind of information on it. I end up with 2 or 3 blank events that I don't even want. As I try to click on them to hopefully erase them, it takes forever to load and then I end up at an error/500 page.
