Invitation mail coming from wrong address
My partner and I both have Crusher accounts. I started to create an invitation by putting in the basic info. Then he signed on under MY account (I did not know yet about the "co-edit" feature) to customize the page graphics.
I then added the invitees' addresses, typed a personal note and previewed it. Everything looked fine. But after the email was sent, the subject line said that the invitation was coming from HIM not me. I don't know how this was possible, as he had never logged in under his account. Worse, I can't figure out how to send a correction email under my own name. Everything I send from that page comes from him, and most of the invitees don't know who he is and I'm afraid they will ignore the mail.
Help!

Inappropriate?Wow, that is super strange. I'll wait for Russell to respond. He engineers Crusher and may have insight. Some things to check: Who appears as the "organizer" when you are looking at the page? You can also email us the URL to the page privately (feedback at crush3r dot com) and Russell can dive into the database to get a better look at who owns it and what.
-
I still appear as Organizer. I'll send the URL to you and hope that Russell can figure out what happened. Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Ran into the exact same problem today with my invites. Logged in under the Organizer account, inputted the emails, clicked Sent and the invites were sent out under my name instead of the Organizer's.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?Anh,
I suspect you were at the time looking at the page as yourself by having clicked the unique URL in an email invite you got. Which told the page that you are you and not the organizer. The next time you log in as the organizer, make sure that you are opening the page from the "My Events" list where you land after logging in. Let me know if that was the case. If there is a bug, would love to kill it. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the quick reply. I did indeed get to the invite page from an emailed invite sent to me. I figured that clicking on the Login link at the top and logging in with the organizer's login combo would have "switched" me to organizer status. A bit confusing but nothing to be concerned about.
BTW, I've used Crusher many times in the past and I'm a huge fan. The hardest part has been convincing the Evite zombies out there to make the transition. It's funny what we get accustomed to and eventually settle for.
*sigh*
Thanks again for your input!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Anh,
Yeah, I think the best fix I can make is to somehow on the interface always display the name of the person it thinks is using it. And have a "not me" link to flash it out.
Glad you are helping spread the word :)
