    Hi Jjjjason7,

    I wanted to clear a few things up about why your post was removed.

    1. As Danielle explained, your post violated Current’s Community Guidelines ( http://current.com/s/community_standa...), specifically regarding personal attacks:

    * Bearing cyber arms.

    We cannot stress this enough: we encourage discussion and debate on Current.com, but personal attacks on others are not acceptable. An opposing opinion on a sensitive subject is not an attack, but ridiculing someone for sharing a different point of view is. If someone shoots a barb your way, don't retaliate. Instead, send us a flag. We're not down with the "they did it first" excuse, so take the high road. Current is a diverse community with a variety of views and opinions. Please respect these views, even if they are different from your own. Mom had it right: if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.

    2. The post you were responding to is not in violation, because it is a satirical commentary on the nature of debates on Current. It does not specifically call another member of the community a racist, nor does it encourage others to do so. Had it done so, this post would have been removed as well.

    3. Sam_the_Wizer is not a Current staffer. Any member of the Current community who contributes positively to Current, by adding items or comments, is eligible to become a featured member. The fact that someone has been a featured member does not make any difference when it comes to the Community Guidelines.

    I hope this helps answer some of your questions

    Best,
    Steph
