sorry... the today screen plugin was written at a hackday, so it was something thrown together in a couple of hours. it was done before I was doing encryption in the wiki, so there is no code in there to encrypt the data

it's actually a really dumb bit of code - it grabs the text from the text box and appends it to a file. and appending unencrypted text to the end of an encrypted file probably isn't a good idea!
