Inappropriate?yes. i have .NET 3.5.7283.0 built into ROM.

Inappropriate?It's the AT&T Tilt. I installed a WM6.1 ROM with IE 5 and it works so I think there's a missing library or a changed library with IE 6. I tested with two different WM6.1 ROMs with IE6 and the same error as posted. I went back to a 6.1 Rom with IE 5 and it loads fine. .NET framework 3.5 is loaded with the ROM so I can't remove it to add .NET 2.0.
You can get the emulators for IE 6 from MS. Would you test it and see if you get the same result? Are you using IE6 already? -

I've not tried the new WM emulators yet, but I'm not surprised to hear that it would break a few things!
if I get a chance to recreate it, I'll raise a bug with Microsoft
