About starting a debate

Not really. They do have to be legal of course and they shouldn't be deliberately designed to be offensive, but apart from that just about anything goes.

Remember though, the winning debates will be those which get the most participation. So if your debate is about an obscure or specialist subject you may not get many other people joining in. Also, if your debate is already being discussed you’ll reduce the number of possible participants.
